What we do

• Janet’s Stockings - Each year during the months of November and December. We collect and deliver thousands of In-kind donation items such as toiletries and clothing. We also collect monetary donations and gift cards which are given directly to the shelters in need.

 

• Back to School – We supply backpacks full of school supplies for students in shelters. We also donate new clothing and shoes so that these children can start the school year off right.

 

• Snack packs – These are packs of non-perishable snacks and drinks for students in shelters.

 

• Holiday Helpers Program - We provide pop-up shops inside shelters to provide a holiday shopping experience for these families. The mothers are able to shop at no cost for gifts for each of their children. The children are also able to select and wrap gifts for their mothers.

 

• Adopt a Stocking – We provide children and teens with a stocking filled with goodies and a gift cards.

 

• Adopt A Family – We sponsor families in shelters for the holidays and are able to provide them with personalize items requested off their wish lists as well grocery store and gas gift cards for each family.

 

• Birthday Boxes - These are kept on hand for children who have birthdays while in a shelter. Each box contains birthday decorations, paper goods, a generic birthday card, a gift card for cake ingredients and an age appropriate wrapped toy or gift card.

 

• Women care kits – These are ready assembled kits which include toiletries, feminine products, dental hygiene items, etc.

 

• Children care kits – These are ready assembled kits which include toiletries, dental hygiene products, books, and an age appropriate toy.

As well as on-going donations of hygiene items and clothing. We also provide items that are requested by the shelters we work with such as food, office supplies, towels, sheets and cleaning products.
